Show of Homeless and Low-income Artists at Old South Church

Local homeless and low-income artists served by area social service programs and centers will be exhibiting their artwork Saturday, April 14th, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Old South Church, 645 Boylston St. Boston, MA 02116.

City Heart art show and sale highlights the works of artists from the Cambridge Women’s Center, Common Art, New England Center for Homeless Veterans, On The Rise, Pine Street Inn, and St. Francis House.

Heidi Lee and Lorraine Iacopucci, the coordinators of the spring show, believe the opportunity to exhibit and sell artwork will serve to empower these community artists, as well as the Boston Trinity Academy high school students who will take part as student leaders for the event.

“City Heart will represent a huge range of artists and their artwork: from surrealistic paintings and still life drawings, to intricate beaded sculptures and jewelry, to custom designed aprons. We are challenged to engage within this intuitive dialog through their artistry. Each artist is truly excited to have this opportunity – to come together and share their work with the community of Boston.”
